Ovnen på gassblusset – Omnia® Classic

En praktisk, bærbar løsning hvis du ikke har stekeovn, eller bare har lyst til å bruke stekeovn utendørs. Omnia® lager brukervennlige og velprøvde ovner som ikke har egen varmekilde. Varmen kommer fra et gassbluss eller en annen varmekilde. På gassblusset kan du bake, koke og varme opp mat – akkurat som i en vanlig ovn. Muligheten til å bake brød til frokost og tilberede variert varmmat er noe brukerne våre setter stor pris på.

Thanks to @camper_culinaric we can share this delicious recipe of a Quiche Lorraine! 😁

Dough - 
250 g flour
160 g frozen butter
1 egg
Salt

Filling -
1 leek
1 bunch of spring onions
250 ml cream
200 g bacon
4 eggs

Knead the flour, butter, egg, and a pinch of salt into a dough, then wrap it in cling film and let it rest in the fridge. 
Cut the leek and spring onions into rings and dice the bacon. 
First, fry the bacon, then sauté the leek and spring onions with it. 
Let everything cool afterward. 
Roll out the dough and line the Omnia (oven mold) with it.
Add the cream and eggs to the bacon and vegetables, mix well, then pour it all into the Omnia. 
Bake on low heat for about 1 hour. And enjoy! 😋

Happy Easter! 🐣 Here’s a perfect dessert for those celebrating or maybe just wanting something delicious! 

Easter Cake with lemon curd and mascarpone creme
(Prep and cook: About 45 minutes) 

Ingredients

Sponge cake
3 eggs
1¼ cups (225 g) granulated sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
3½ Tbs (50g) butter, softened
½ cup + 1 Tbs (100 ml) milk
1½ cups (210 g) white flour
2 tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
Zest of 1 lemon
Butter and breadcrumbs or flour for the Omnia Pan.
To serve
About 8 ounces (250 g) lemon curd
About 8 ounces (250 g) mascarpone
1 cup (130 g) confectioner’s sugar (icing sugar)
3/4 cup + 1 Tbs (200 ml) whipping cream (double cream)
Chocolate mini-eggs

Beat the egg, granulated sugar and vanilla until pale and fluffy. Melt the butter and stir into the milk, then stir into the egg mixture. Mix flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl. Fold carefully into the egg mixture. Fold in the lemon zest.

Grease and dust the Omnia Pan with plain breadcrumbs, then pour in the cake batter. Bake the cake at low heat for about 35 minutes. Test with a toothpick for doneness – the cake should not be sticky. Turn the cake out of the pan and let cool. Slice the cake into three layers (plain tooth floss works beautifully!) and lay the bottom layer on a plate.

Mix the confectioner’s (icing) sugar into the mascarpone. Whip the cream and mix into the mascarpone. Spread half the mascarpone cream over the bottom layer. Put the second layer on top and spread with the lemon curd. Place the top layer over the lemon curd and spread with the remaining mascarpone creme. Decorate with chocolate mini-eggs.

🐣 Asparagus Quiche with smoked salmon and horseradish creme 🐣 

Ingredients - 
Pie dough (pastry)
1¼ cups (180 g) white flour
8 Tbs (125g) butter
3 Tbs cold water

Filling
3 eggs
1¼ cups (300 ml) cream (single/half and half)
1⅓ cup (150 g) grated cheese
½ tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
1 leek
About 8 ounces ( 250 g) green asparagus
Neutral oil

To serve
About 7 ounces (200g) sliced smoked salmon
About ½ cup (100 ml) crème fraiche
2 Tbs grated horseradish

Cut the cold butter into small cubes and mix with the flour until it forms coarse crumbs. Add the water and mix lightly into a dough. Press the dough into the pan, prick holes in the bottom with a fork. Let rest in the fridge for about 30 minutes.

Trim the bottoms of the asparagus spears and discard. Cut the rest of the asparagus into pieces, about ½ inch (1 cm) long. Set the tips aside for garnish. Slice the leek finely. Sauté the leek and chopped asparagus spears (not the tips) in a little oil for about 10 minutes.

Whisk together the egg, cream and grated cheese. Season with salt and pepper. Sprinkle the asparagus and leek around the pie shell. Pour the egg mixture over. Lay the asparagus tips on top. Bake the quiche at low heat for about 60 minutes or until the egg mixture is set and firm.

Mix the crème fraiche with grated horseradish. Salt and pepper to taste.

Serve the quiche with sliced smoked salmon and horseradish creme.
🍞🍎 Baked Apple Bread Pudding Recipe 🍎🍞

Ingredients:
	•	3 old bread rolls
	•	3 apples
	•	50 g raisins
	•	500 ml milk
	•	2 eggs
	•	Cinnamon
	•	50 g sugar
	•	1 packet vanilla sugar

Instructions:
	1.	Mix the milk with the eggs, sugar, vanilla sugar, and a pinch of cinnamon.
	2.	Core the apples and slice them, along with the bread rolls, into slices of roughly equal thickness.
	3.	Layer the apple and bread slices alternately in the Omnia (camping oven or baking dish).
	4.	Pour the milk mixture evenly over the layers, then sprinkle the raisins on top.
	5.	Bake for about 1 hour on low heat.
